This Whimsical and Happy Outfit Will Be Useful To Nobody, Unless You are In Turks and Caicos or Somewhere Equally Fanastic.

The reality is that I am not anywhere remotely close to Turks and Caicos, but if I was there I'd like to think I'd be in such a celebratory mood to wear a fine knit sweater like Meadham Kirchhoff's lamb short-sleeve one near the sand and water. I probably wont, you know, it's too hot. But let's stay there in that happy dream where we live like an editorial and wear expensive items where we shouldn't. Where we wear clean blue knits with whimsical frolicking lamb embellishments and pair them with plantation print bikinis by Jets by Jessika Allen. The print reminds me of Altuzarra. Which I love and am obsessed with. The Gucci sandals are suede, so be a grown up and take care of those because they are beautiful. The Miu Miu glasses just plain fun. We will ask ourselves why we didn't bring the glittered ones instead of the fun tortoise shell sunglasses, and just spend entire minutes pondering this life decision. Because you can. Because you're on the beach.

Drinks with Net-a-Porter, Refinery 29, and San Francisco's Best

I just wanted to have a moment to commemorate a lovely evening with Net-A-Porter and Refinery 29. The evening was pleasant and I had a fantastic time last night meeting up with fellow San Francisco bloggers. Fine people like Maia from Design Conundrum, Anh from  9to5chic.com, Blair from Atlatic-Pacific, Tara from The Wonder Girl, Britt and Whit from, duh, Britt & Whit,  Erin of Apartment 34, Natalie from Like Fresh Laundry, and Kathleen from InspiraFashion. Everyone was super spring looking despite the nasty clouds and periodic rain, and the designer-inspired cocktails were kind of amazing.  I'm drinking the sweet and bold Miu Miu in that picture, but I also had a taste of the clean citrus Stella McCartney, and the ultra favorite of the night, the elderflower and basil infused Burberry drink.

Huge thanks for Nicole and Alison of Net-A-Porter for setting this up. It was great to see everyone again. Also a shout out to the great Joanna Riedl, too! Amazing people!

Railroad Crossing

A little school girl, a little hard edge. I just want to show off the ode to railroad fashion that is the Boy by Band of Outsiders suspender skirt. It's adorable because the criss-cross is on the front versus the traditional overal up-and-down suspenders. This extra attention up front means everything else is scaled back to gamine. Enter the Toga Pulla polo shirt. It has flutter details on the short sleeves, which is almost like a puff sleeve, but cooler. This option by Boy by Band of Outsiders works just as well. Simple outfits compliment simple accessories, like Givenchy sandals and a fine pair of The Row sunglasses.

The Most Beautiful Bouquet of Silk Shorts You'll Own

D&G silk floral printed shorts are like staring at a peony, which happens to be my favorite flower. So why not dress like one? The shorts are delicate, dainty, and feminine. Accenting the floral aspect of them with a petal-like Rochas ruffle collar blouse is fashion forward and dressed up at the same time. My ultimate favorite shoes of all time, the Manolo Blahnik CC patent leather pumps. Holy crap, I must have waited months for these to be back in stock. They look classic in photos, and they are amazing in person. If ever a splurge, this is it, ladies.
