Tailored Perfectly

Chalayan blazerGivenchy Medium Antigonia Duffel, Manolo Blahnik CC patent leather pumps, The Row leather moto pants

The dream team of an outfit above would not be as perfect if it weren't for the impeccably tailored Chalayan blazer holding the outfit together. The long and lean proportions with the crisp lines it creates the undeniable makings of a power suit. Among the pricey items, it's the most important in the mix, but the ubiquitous The Row moto pants and Manolo Blahnik CCs make a return in so many of my styling posts because they are truly that versatile. The Givenchy Antigonia Duffel makes an appearance for being the most tailored looking bag I've seen in a while. It makes perfect sense to pair it with Chalayan, they were made for each other.

Feelin' Hella Versatile

What's the point in buying an expensive Proenza Schouler PS11 leather clutch, a pair of Carven sunglasses,  A.L.C. Brice leather pants, and killer Manolo Blahnik CC pumps  if you can't rework them in other combinations?

We've seen how it could look graphic, very Gwen Stefani, here, so now behold the softer approach to wearing all that black leather. The peplum top by Three Floor is light as air and beautiful with the dreamy combination of baby blue and nude. The nude inserts, however, are less sweet and more badass, which is appropriate since you're pretty much rocking leather in every other aspect here.

Feelin' Hella Good

A graphic outfit inspired by the one-and-only Gwen Stefani. Her style is impeccably consistent throughout the years, not to mention trendsetting. She eschews current trends for whatever the hell she wants to wear, and I am really into that. This makes her a style icon, in my opinion, and she'll always by my 90s, braces wearing, pink hair dyin',  "Don't Speak" angst queen

The Most Beautiful Bouquet of Silk Shorts You'll Own

D&G silk floral printed shorts are like staring at a peony, which happens to be my favorite flower. So why not dress like one? The shorts are delicate, dainty, and feminine. Accenting the floral aspect of them with a petal-like Rochas ruffle collar blouse is fashion forward and dressed up at the same time. My ultimate favorite shoes of all time, the Manolo Blahnik CC patent leather pumps. Holy crap, I must have waited months for these to be back in stock. They look classic in photos, and they are amazing in person. If ever a splurge, this is it, ladies.

Meanwhile, In San Francisco...

Karen Walker Number One Crazy Tortoise sunglasses, Kate Spade pumps, J Brand skinny jeans, J. Crew jacket, Marc by Marc Jacobs purse, wearing Dior Water lilly nail polish

While New York is doing it's Fashion Week thing, my daily life in San Francisco has been the complete opposite of winter. It's been pleasant weather-wise, and I couldn't resist bringing out my recent shoe addition: a Kate Spade satin pump. They were on my mind all of last fall because they reminded me so much of the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 pumps with the oversized bow, and unlike the incredible Manolo Blahnik BBs, they have a completely doable chunky heel. Full disclosure: they are not very comfortable, seeing as how there's an incredible 4"+ pitch and no platform whatsoever — hence what makes them a classic. They are feet killers for sure, but they look so damn good with everything and manage to elevate a simple jean jacket and skinny jeans combination that I can't even care about their uncomfortable nature. That and they were literally 60% off on Zappos.
