The Ideal and Minimal Glamour of Amina and Eleonora

If I were in any snowy city environment right now I'd certainly be modeling myself after these ladies. Despite layering boxy coats and over-the-top furs they still manage to feel uniquely feminine and even quirky in some instances.

The Crazy Fur

Individual images via Who What Wear

How anti-minimalist. Such color! Much happiness! I'm 100% into this crazy shearling and fur worn with the nonchalance of an all-black ensemble business Alexa has going on here. It's so refreshing right now.  Way to go, Alexa Chung, with your long tiny legs and endless stock of all the things I wish I could wear.

RewardStyle is not working right now, so I'm going to link the coats that work with this whole thing the old-fashioned way. (You know, sans potential commission). (If you want me to get a commission for any of this, click here before you buy. Thanks, darlin'.)

Acne Déjà Vu

I couldn't help myself. I had to post another set of the photos we took in Dixon. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed lounging around in an authentic retro poolside environment in my lady chic outfit. In reality, the Acne pencil skirt is doing all the work in these photos. The school girl jacquard fabric in a ladylike pencil shape, accentuated with edgy zippers, is the centerpiece of the look to me. It fits like a dream, and literally, required no hemming or tailoring at all. On a pencil skirt. So instead of calling this a repetitive topic, let's instead look at it as a celebration in buying a fitted piece off the rack and wearing it like it was made for you. Works for me.

NYFW: Draped, Color-Blocked Ladies at BCBG

Max Azria continues the inspired use of color with refreshing mid-calf lengths, velvety cool colors, and warm fur highlights. The overall effect is one of optimism and sporty feminism. I like how covered up everyone looks but the collection has sheer touches in the long-length skirts that give a little more skin exposure. The best part is how comfortable and easy these look. Skinny jeans, crop tops, your days are numbered.

Best Dressed of The Week: Caroline Winberg

Such a playful look! Love the texture she ads with the fur coat over the Opening Ceremony dress. The neon yellow hem is fantastic and brings out her platinum blond locks, and the highlights on her Prada Saffiano Bag. Definitely the best iteration of Isabel Marant's fringe boots I've seen.

Love this so much! Get the outfit here.
