Joseph Understands My Recent Intrigue with Pairing Shower Shoes with Anything But a Swimsuit, LFW Favorite

I'm in a winter state of mind as I write this because I'm getting notifications of "What's New" from online shops and my wish list is growing rapidly. The latest look I'm obsessing over is just a modified version of what I like for summer. Sure there's a collar, but now it's a fur Marni collar. Worn over a patterned Chloé sweater and with adorably colored merlot Charlotte Olympia half calf kitty flats. The same kitty flats in black that I have been obsessing over for months. The bag, always that bag, is the classic Proenza Schouler PS11 in navy. Why navy? Because I'm still in a Summer Olympics spirit and realize that when red white and blues in an outfit are more berry and gem colored, the overall effect is less patriotic and more like this.  Delectable. Last but not least are a leg-elongating pair of wool Joseph pants, because I'm 5'3" and my aspirations to be tall have been replaced with finding ways of looking tall.

Guns + Roses

Admittedly, the leather pants is not a great idea if you live anywhere hot & humid. Which means that if you're not in the Bay Area, excuse the pants portion of this outfit, and just imagine in your head they are something more practical like these shorts. (If you are content to remain impractical in your warm weather habitat then feel free to ponder these leather shorts).

Getting dressed in the Bay Area, in the summer no less, has confusing questions such as: What will the weather be like today? Will it actually be hot? What kind of bag do I need to carry my flat shoes and my sweater?

Well, behold Bay Area women, this is your answer. You nip this in the bud and come to terms with the nonsensical weather and dress like it's pre-fall all the time. If the weather actually spikes above 70 in San Francisco, then feel free to remove your sweater to expose your pale skin under a tasteful sleeveless top (with SPF!) to the sun.

Shopping La Garçonne For Fall Outfits: Look 1

If I'm going to wear chunky knits, like the camel Joseph leather trim poncho ($545), I like to keep the rest of the outfit tailored to stay feminine. The Apiece Apart circle skirt ($590) is mini enough and voluminous enough to pair with the chunky poncho, and I'd probably top it off with a messy hair bun, black tights and these amazing Rag & Bone Moto boots ($550). The accessories for this outfit would be sparse, but if I had the luxury of another set of frames I'd wear the 3.1 Phillip Lim half brown, half cream, eyeglasses ($250).
