I think it's pretty harmless to post these beach photos for throwback Thursday. I warned you I'd sneak them in, so let me enjoy a throwback post that is so utterly self-indulgent before I go back to posting my favorite fashion month photos.

Happy Glasses Indeed
See? I told you I'd work a post in there every now and then. Now that fashion week is over and we're all pretty saturated and well-versed in the same photos of the same events from New York, we can all re-focus our eyes to other topics — like this vacation! Basically, it was an awesome time because it was a great opportunity to spend quality quiet time detached from the world on a pretty little island, pondering how one person can be so lucky to witness a place like Turks and Caicos with a loved one. I've been there a handful of times and am convinced each and every time that it exists to me only as a fluke, a big massive joke from nature. I spent my time reading books, sleeping by the ocean, snorkeling, and drinking fruity cocktails in plastic cups whilst bobbing in the ocean. I didn't even have to worry about accessories because my pals at Tictail outfitted me with these rad circle sunglasses from Happy Glasses.
In short, I highly recommend a trip there next year. The cost is about the same as any Playa Del Carmen-Mexico place if you book early. So do!
PS: This is a great time to mention that Tictail just launched their mobile app. So you can shop my stuff and other cool things from wherever you are. Even on your phone poolside in Turks and Caicos. ;) You can download it here from the App Store.
We Have To Go Back
EVERLANE shirt (medium), MADEWELL shorts (size 29), J.CREW hat
Listen, here is the truth: I have about 3 posts-worth of photos from my vacation in Colorado and Turks and Caicos. I am tempted to just dump them all now in some sort of vacation diary purge post, but I really think that would be undervaluing all the insane thought I put into my overpacking — not to mention you'd probably unfollow me in about 2-seconds and think, Gag, all she talks about is how much she travels and tans, barf. I'm like you, I get it, I read blogs and gag just like you sometimes. So when you least expect it I will be sprinkling them throughout the next couple weeks, k? Just when you think we have forgotten about my 10+ days in the sun, boom, it will hit you. That seems like fair warning to me. Deal?
Wear this Now: Vactionland
2 weeks until vacation. Say it with me: Yassss. So I spend my time daydreaming about frolicking on the beach in expensive cover ups that are completely impractical for my life.
I will be skipping on this Stone Cold Fox silk dress because I just won't get enough use out of it with the Bay Area weather to justify the price, but that doesn't mean I won't highly recommend it to any wild child in Southern California.

Happy 4th of July
Taking a short break from city life and all things fashion for the Fourth this year. Although we can't burn any fireworks — the risk of fire is way to high right now — I am completely out of my comfort zone, living in work out pants, and hiking-type shoes. So enjoy the brief break in fashion oriented content. I'll back back after the holiday with your regularly scheduled programming. (Follow me on Instagram for more fish-out-of-water updates).
PS. Shout out to my best friend, Julia, who shares a birthday with the USA today. I love you, mija!

Snapshots From North Carolina

Photos by Me + Nick Smith
Taking a break from regularly scheduled fashion programs to bring you a couple down-home snapshots from my trip to North Carolina. We're staying on the border of North and South Carolina, which means traveling to The Peach Tree to get some peach ice cream will cause you to cross the state lines so many times and bring up lessons in gerrymandering. It's strange to see everything so spread out here, but the abundance of green everywhere means every shot is so beautifully different to me. Definitely not the typical city fare. So excuse me while I indulge in sharing a couple of my favorite snapshots so far.
The Window

Just got into Providenciales, Turks and Caicos to the wonderful and humbling news that 12:04 has been featured on Barneys NYC The Window. So I wanted to take a minute and thank all of you for reading, sharing with your friends, and following my love of fashion. This blog is nothing but ramblings of a fashion obsessed person if it wasn't for all of you. So thank you. ♥
