Mohair Paneled Theory Knit

This Theory knit sweater was almost borderline too-warm for this afternoon, but I couldn't resist taking out the sweater for a test drive. My saving grace was the panel of mohair loose knit at the back and shoulders. Just enough skin to make a sweater sort of sexy.

TRENDING: Bordeaux, Bordeaux, Bordeaux

Surprisingly enough, it seems like the "It" color for fall 2011 is bordeaux. At first it seems a little old and stuffy, but really getting into the offerings from designers for fall, you start to really get a sense that this old-school color is now modern.

How would I wear it? With an Étoile Isabel Marant bicolor knit (I'm OBSESSED, with bicolor knits this fall), and a pair of cropped bordeaux cords from Étoile Isabel Marant as well.  I like how the grey, black, and mulled wine color play off each other in a youthful way. Play it up with patent Repetto flats in said hot color and a shiny manicure in, what else?, Essie's Bordeaux #12.

Coolest of all? The necklace, by Eddie Borgo. I'm in love with Eddie Borgo...as you'll see later today.
