On Vacation With Karen Walker Eyewear. The Modern Cat Eye, In A High Density Flat Frame, In Crazy Tortoise.

I'm taking a moment away from the beach to post about Karen Walker Eyewear. I've been in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos for the past week, photographing my Karen Walker sunnies. Why? Because I only own this brand and not in a pretentious way, but more in a I-hate-spending-hundreds-of-dollars-on-overused-and-low-quality-sunglasses. They're sunglasses right? Yes and no.

These are THE brand. They are minimal while completely modern and edgy.

Season after season, this New Zealand designer comes up with modern ways to bring unique and fun designs to your face. My favorite and oldest trusty pair are my Number Ones in Crazy Tortoise. They are oversized, which flatter your face, and the print makes them photograph great. They are also reasonably priced, at $180 a pair. I will post more about the others: the Number Ones in Milky Brown, and the highly coveted Number Six in Matte Black. Seriously, I looked high and low for the Number Six pair, and they are amazing as well.

Another brand to look for? Illesteva. The Frida half-tort sunglasses have been tempting me all freaking year. Sadly, on the west coast at least, they are pretty hard to find in stock,....anywhere.
