Wanted: Semi-sheer Ankle Socks

There's something really demure and proper about the semi sheer socks. It's like a piece of lingerie that is often forgotten because socks have become more and more invisible throughout the decades. The return of trouser socks, especially in a seductive sheer is actually pretty lovely in counter-balancing a pair of masculine brogues. Seems like required dressing for tomboys this fall, no?

TRENDING: The Fringe Movement

It's becoming more and more apparent with the rising availability of fringe wardrobe options that this is fast becoming more a Summer 2011 trend than the originally intended Fall 2011 (as seen at Isabel Marant).
It was only a matter of time that the full Native American trend was completed by the introduction of FRINGED items, since we've already been rocking the Turquoise & Gold (remember that post?).
Items listed include:
Michael Kors fringe suede leather mini skirt, $300
Paul & Joe Pogo tasseled bag $565
Sam Edelman suede fringe ankle boots (in tan), $225

UPDATE: Get The Trend: Pleated Maxi Skirts!

BUYERS BEWARE: This style runs very small. I would recommend sizing up, maybe 2 sizes. Free People tends to run itty bitty, but this particular style is especially small in the waist. The tie is held by oh-so delicate buttons, which will come apart at the slightest movement (like...SITTING DOWN). to avoid this, SIZE UP.
For example, I am typically a Small, but will order a Medium, or maybe even a Large.
-------------
You can find these two pretty options at Free People. although, warning: it's backordered. shocker.
You'll want to order a slip while you're at it, since this style is sheer. But if it wasn't sheer it just wouldn't be one of 2011's hottest spring trends.
DO IT. DO IT NOW.
TRENDING: Gold & Turquoise Rings

Turquoise is back, in a big way. They can be seen on rings, necklaces, and other bohemian spring/summer wears coming out.
You may not be bold enough to wear them in a deadly fashion like Abbey Lee Kershaw,

but even one of them is enough to elevate a basic jeans and t-shirt outfit into something exuding personal style.
Pamela Love bear ring $115, Maison Martin Margiela Line 11 gold square ring $395, Kenneth Jay Lane hammered stone ring $220, Aurélie Bidermann snake ring $190, House of Harlow 1960 tribal ring $65, Yves Saint Laurent arty ring $195 images via Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, LaGarçonne
