It's A Shame About That Studded Black Alexander Wang Duffle

Celebrities have been carrying this edgy bag for a while now, yet the moment it becomes available I am unable to get my ass out of work. Apparently I'm so overworked, I managed to miss the massive coverage about eLuxury way back when.

Net-A-Porter sold out the day it became available to them, but Barneys still has them online.

Looks like I want this bag without shipping costs, retailing for $850, I have to physically get my ass to Barneys.

Rodarte Boots Do Not Make Miley Cyrus A Hooker

http://i29.tinypic.com/n315zp.jpg

So Miley Cyrus is getting a lot of shit for posing with thigh high leather boots — that some idiots are calling hooker boots — and reclining with her bed-head hair on a table.

They're not hooker boots, ignorant bloggers. They're Rodarte, Ok?

It's fashion, people. The dress is Prada. The boots are fabulous.
And P.S., Thigh-high boots are the new leggings.
See, Rodarte, Stella McCartney, Prada, Hussein Chalayan, among others.

How about everyone lighten up. It's just fashion. She's still 16.

How Cool Is Lara Stone In This Picture?

I know it's super old from Another Magazine in 2007, but still.
It's a hot picture. She's Carine Roitfeld's favorite model.

Inspiration for posting this is SF's freaking decision to suddenly get hot.

Anna Wintour Is The Boss, OK?

She probably has the best job ever and she knows it. Although, I'm not clear if the connection between her and the "Nuclear Wintour" and nonstop "bitch" comments are necessary. She seems perfectly agreeable here.

But then again, who isn't in front of a camera?

Why Aren't There More Pictures Of Diane Kruger Wearing Chanel Yesterday?

Look at this picture. It's like 2 inches tall.
How are people going to appreciate someone who dresses well consistently if they don't post larger pictures of her?

She looked fantastic in Chanel Haute Couture at the Met Gala and although it wasn't the most cutting edge, she showed that simple black and white, and some restraint, could be incredibly memorable.

Another example of this was Ashley Olsen, who wore a super simple dress from her line The Row.

Take note Mary Kate: brushing your hair to a smooth finish can look very pretty.

Leighton Meester Does Not Deserve All The Shit Talk About Her Adorable Outfit At The MET Gala

Leighton Meester in Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready to Wear.
This collection was opulent, and this girl got boat loads of shit for looking like a jester.

I think they can just shut the hell up because Meester pushed the envelope on a night where fashion is supposed to be showcased.

I mean, what other occasion could you get away with wearing an outfit like this and not be called fashion forward.

I loved this look. She looked like a doll, and played up that role.

You can see it in here vampy, cheeky face. She knows she's cute.
She's saying, "Suck it, critics, I look fantastic."

Wearing head to toe Luis Vuitton might have made co-chair Marc Jacobs second guess his lame flashy gold "dress" and matching turban he put on poor Kate Moss (also co-chair, you know, since it is themed "Model As Muse" and she is Kate Freaking Moss). PS for Kate: she needs to stop smoking STAT. She's looking rough.

Jennifer Garner Is Painfully Cute With Letterman

I want to give her a hug and ask her why she's so fucking cute.

In this interview with a very raspy voiced David Letterman, Jennifer makes him some tea, tells some jokes, is painfully modest, and is also a sassy lass.

Cute, yes?

Gisele's Galliano Wedding Dress Is Smart

What does a woman who has the privelege of wearing anything she wants wear for one of the most important days of her life?

Something simple.
I love that she picked something low key. I'm pretty apalled by all the tacky wedding dresses women pick out these days — IE "Say Yes To The Dress"

(Photo from JustJared)

I personally would go for simplicity too.

Something like this Ralph Lauren floor-length silk dress from the Fall 2003 Ready-to-wear collection — worn by none other than Natalia Vodianova.

It's simple and understated, feminine, and has great movement at the bottom.

I've found myself on the couch in front of TLC's "Say Yes To The Dress" in the company of many people now and one thing everyone always says at least once during each episode is, "that is the ugliest dress
e v e r."

It's because women think that the dream dress they see in a magazine is going to fit and look perfectly on their body.

I think the general and well known appeal of those types of shows is that everyone knows that they're in for a train wreck if they tune in.

The entire premise of "Say Yes To The Dress" is to have the person purchasing the dress be their own misguided stylist. And to add to it, most of these ladies bring an audience of opinionated ladies and gentlemen that rip them to shreds. The sales person is really the useless one here because it is obvious they just want to make a sale.

And since we're on the topic of wedding dresses, I think these are pretty too:

Sadly, I don't know who designed these because as I was pulling images I forgot to label them.
Vera Wang? Marchesa? Marc Jacobs? Don't know!

DSquared2 Presents It's Fall 09 Marriage With The Paparazzi

Let's not kid ourselves here, the styling is the best part of this collection. The clothes are pretty simple and not that unique at all.
The coffee cups from Starbucks are the second best part of this collection because it makes the models seem like celebrities having their picture taken while they're out and about. I like the nod to the celebrity culture and paparazzi because it makes the clothes more approachable.

Elizabteh + James Ain't Half Bad, You Olsen Twins

These are some pretty snapshots from their look book. I'd readily buy some of these items and they are surprisingly moderately priced.

The Row, however, is still a piece of shit. I'm not paying $1,000 for leggings and a t-shirt, I don't care if they are billionaires that dress well sometimes.

January Jones At The Golden Globes

Clean make up, natural hair, bright structured dress (with pockets!), and a strong brow make her my favorite.
